Abercrombie is deciding to cut its prices after a 58% quarterly profit drop. Their CEO, Mike Jeffries said that they would reduce prices next year as a way to compete with cheaper retailers. In addition, Abercrombie is also trying to focus more on outlets. they also want to make a separate line for their outlet malls.

In relation to government I think this article has a lot, if we are headed back in to a recession than this article makes a lot of sense. I can see why people don’t want to spend 100$ on a pair of pants and 50$ on one shirt.  Maybe when they lower their prices they will get some more business.  Maybe Americans vote most as consumers rather than constituents.
