Scientists are trying to discover why we need sleep, considering how dangerous it is for us to sleep, because we are not aware of our surroundings and it makes it easier for us to be attacked. Scientists have done studies on why we need sleep and have linked it to the idea that when we sleep our body gets ride of toxins that cause memory related diseases. They noticed that without sleep or uneasy sleep can cause a person harm, because their body isn’t getting rid of all the bad chemicals circulating within their body.

The government has something to do with this, due to the fact that they give money to programs like these, so they can help prevent many other types of disease that can do a lot of damage to a person. Without government giving money to scientists to continue their research and they would not be able to realized why we need to sleep so much. Part of the money the government has goes to studies that try to find out more about human beings. Sleep is a necessary part of everyday life and without it or the lack of it could cause us serious damage.
