In modern days the internet is an unregulated service that is full of useful information, as well as miscellaneous files. This information is not only published by corporations but also by communities. There are debates all over the world about its regulation. Places like Chile in which a bill is already being discussed in parliament yet there are no details on how will it regulate the internet in Chile, neither on who ,or what entity will regulate it. There are no details on what would the punishments be if they are broken by an individual.
Another case that might be more familiar is the Snowden case. Edward Snowden gave up his liberty in the US to expose the NSA surveillance program. Something is wrong with our government if someone who exposes such truth is being prosecuted. I believe that the internet is already unbalanced and that it should stay as it is without regulation. Whenever governments try to regulate something as such magnitude in general they end up making the situation a whole lot worse than it was before they tried. Passing a bill that would allow it’s regulation would be an insult to users worldwide and cause unbalance of privacy to citizens across the globe.
I believe that The internet should remain as it is, without any bill that regulates its use.
