On Friday April 1st we were enlightened about the realities of a government agency known as ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Our guest spoke about human trafficking in the world and in our neighborhoods. Human trafficking is a trade of humans, most commonly for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labor, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others. We heard real experiences and we viewed some videos and pictures showing the real life consequences of human trafficking. The worst part about this situation is the abuse of adults power over kids. Even the kids parents are joining the human traffickers for their own financial profit instead of trying to fight for their kids’ lives.
