Worship leader Taya Smith(from Hillsong Church) ushers hundreds of people into the presence of God

A loving message of encouragement for those who are searching for something and still haven’t found it. God has never left you. To the curious non believer, it is no coincidence you are here.

I believe that music was created in order for the creation to reach out to the creator. What better way to stay connected than creating music, writing, and through expression. Art is defined as -“The conscious use of the imagination in the production of objects intended to be contemplated or appreciated as beautiful, as in the arrangement of forms, sounds, or words.”

What I love most about Christian musicians is that they are not defined by what they do, but why they do it. They do it in order to make our creator known. To make Jesus famous, and not themselves.

Here’s a really good example of how a psalmist expresses his passion for the living God. In the book of Psalms, the psalmist who wrote this was in obvious agony. Agony that only God could truly understand.

Psalm 42:1-3- As a deer pants for streams of water, so my SOUL pants for you my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Where can I meet with God? My tears have been my food DAY AND NIGHT, while people say to me ALL DAY LONG,”where is your God”?

Psalm 42:7-8 DEEP calls to DEEP (meaning the writers attempt to reconnect his inner most being, with God’s inner most being) in the roar of your waterfalls, all your breakers have swept over me. By day the Lord directs His love, at night HIS SONG is with me- a prayer to the God of my life.

Here’s some examples of some popular Christian contemporary music.
