Student Choice Awards

The Student Choice Awards was a first time opportunity that was hosted by the Student Council and Ms. Prescod. There were 14 awards that went out to teachers and students. The school got to fill out a form and choose a student and teacher who they thought represented the assigned award. There were also runner ups for those who came close to getting the award. Overall, it was a good experience for teachers and students to interact with the whole school and see who the winners were.

Sofía: The student awards were an event of many emotions. Watching the teachers and students receive their award was something I really enjoyed. The truth is I never thought I would receive an award like the student with the most mountain spirit. It was a great surprise for me and I am very happy to know that for some teachers and students I am an exemplary student and I am very grateful for all the support that all the school staff gives me.

Emma: Student Council and Ms. Prescod held the first ever Student Choice Awards. It was filled with many obstacles such as money, time schedule, and other things that stood in our way but it turned out to be a fun event for students and teachers. I am a part of the Student Council and we were juggling a lot at once, we worked hard as a team and were able to take a step forward through this process! I am glad we were able to achieve this event and the Student Council hopes to continue doing more.
