Advantages of Owning a Horse
I really want to get a horse because I like them. Also, my family is going to be happy about that because my whole family loves horses. I want to go everywhere with my horse. I want to ride him and remember my first horse. My first horse was small. His name was Rocky. He was very sweet and we were always together. Horses have always been in my life .
Are they Dangerous?
Horses can be dangerous but there are ways that we can make them safer around people. This includes educating both the horse and the rider. Both need to simply being aware that both you, the rider, and he, the horse are nervous. Remember, if you do not treat a horse well and it feels persecuted, it will not be friendly toward people. Also, like many people, horses are afraid of snakes and unsafe trails. So, just use common sense when you are around a horse.
What Type of Food do they Need?
A horse’s favorite breakfast, lunch, or dinner is nothing other than good ol’ grass! In addition to grazing on a pasture, horses also often eat things like hay, concentrates of nutrient’s, and treats! Let’s a take a closer look at each.
The best kind of grass to feed a horse should be fresh, green and natural. If you don’t have grass, hay will do. You can buy hay at any Feed Store. To get nutrients feed your horse fruits and vegetables. Rocky liked apples the best! And for treats, believe it or not they love banana leaves!
A stable is a building in which livestock, especially horses, are kept. It most commonly means a building that is divided into separate stalls for individual animals. There are many different types of stables in use today. A stable must fit the horse. It can’t be too small and must have room for the horse grow into. The stall should have a door or fence around it so that the horse will not escape. You will have to make sure they have plenty of water and a little food in the stall. Most horses sleep standing up so it doesn’t need to be too wide.
