The 2024 election was a study in demographics; this means that it showed the different regions of America’s divided political populations. Demographics is defined as “the statistical characteristics of human populations used especially to identify markets or populations of voters.” ( Merriam Webster) The colors of America are Red, White and Blue and the colors used to represent the two major political parties are Red Republicans and Blue Democrats. Sometimes the states with an even mix of both parties among their voters are called Purple states because Red and Blue combined make Purple. This election was about how dark or light the color blue or the color red would be in what are known as the 7 swing states. As it turns out, all 7 swing states went to Trump by a margin of less than 1%. https://purplestatesofamerica.org/
