Money & Mobs
On September 10th in Philadelphia, Democratic candidate for President Kamala Harris repeatedly criticized the Republican Donald Trump campaign. She criticized his behavior and leadership in the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, and emphasized that officials who served in the Trump administration later became his critics. She ended her response by noting that she did not receive any money from her father, implying that Donald Trump inherited his wealth.
No Substance; A debate of words, not deeds.
But rather than attack the vice president for her policies or lack of performance, Mr. Trump started his response by saying that the money he received from his father was “ tiny”. Moreover, he made baseless accusations about immigrants eating pets in Ohio. Harris seemed to have succeeded in the controversial debate, saying foreign leaders were accusing Trump of looking down on people. Harris also criticized Trump for attacking her racial identity. Trump meanwhile blamed Harris for President Joe Biden’s politics, including US Troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and immigrants, while he vowed to improve the economy.
The Swing States; 270 to win it.
Furthermore, the electoral votes for the next president are still undecided. The democratic party which Harris represents can almost certainly count on 183 electoral votes from the Democratic States: California, New York, Illinois…. From the Republican party which Trump represents, he can count on 125 electoral votes from Republican leaning states in the middle of the map which are Missouri, Kansas, Alabama …. But, after all, the election day has not ended yet, the electoral votes can be changed. The winning candidate will need 270 electoral college votes. Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia are the “swing states” with 19, 16, and 16 electoral votes each depending on the results of the split popular vote in each state.
