This same Washington monument reveals certain truths about nature. It represents patience in the process of building it. It shows the nature of honoring and memorializing. It took 36 years to complete ,spanning from 1848 to 1884.However there were significant delays due to various factors, such as the civil war .
When l first visited the Washington monument , it was on the 4th of July of 2024. We went there a little bit early, in order for us to tour and enjoy our first experience at the monument. I was struck by its sheer height and simplicity; standing at 555 feet, the towering white obelisk dominates the national mall creating a sense of awe and reverence. As you look up , the monument’s clean lines draw your eyes skyward,emphasizing its role as a symbol of national pride and unity.
