Why do I want to become a pharmacy technician?
I want to be a pharmacy technician because I have always been looking forward to helping people and being part of something that makes a real difference in their life. When I was a kid, I saw how important medicine is to keep people healthy, and I understood how many responsibilities ensure that patients safely receive them. That really made me want a career in health care.
I also like being organized and noticing small details, which is good with the responsibilities of a pharmacy technician. Either carefully following the instructions or communicating with patients, I know that these skills can help me succeed in this role. Besides I can speak 2 languages and I should use this in order to serve my own community people that are facing problems because they can’t speak English and face problems for it.
I am most motivated by the knowledge that pharmacy practices play an important role in the health care team – not only to fill the prescription, but also to support patients and give them confidence in their treatment. For me, this career is not only a stable route with the opportunity to grow, but also a chance to wake up every day knowing that I am contributing to something important. To be honest, when I came to the United States in Dec, 2024. I didn’t want to study any field at all but when I went to hospitals, clinics and pharmacies like CVS for checkups and saw the treatment methods there. It changed my mind and made me motivated to get my career as a pharmacy technician in order to serve people from different backgrounds the way I got served better but not worse than that and to bring a change to society.
