Ahmed Mohammed is a high school student who currently lives in Texas, originally from Sudan. was accused of making a hoax bomb, handcuffed and questioned, and received a three-day suspension from the Irving, Texas high school over the clock he put together to impress his new classmates and teachers. He attended a science event in the white house Monday’s night.
“Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science.”
This young fella had been invited to the white house by the president of the United States, because he made a clock that made teachers suspicious and got arrested for bringing it to school. This is more of a racial situation, since this kid is a middle eastern and from a Muslim country, people decided to arrest him because they thought he was a terrorist.
Called Astronomy Night, last night’s event was held on the South Lawn, where Mohamed, 14, joined several hundred people, including teachers, NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden and scientist Bill Nye, in discussing efforts to explore space, as well as careers in science and technology.
This creation by this kid made the scientist of NASA interested in him coming up with new ideas for NASA. The president said that the country needs more students like Ahmed who are into science and can help the community. In my opinion i think Ahmed can also Come up with helpful creations for his home country which is Sudan, so he can make his people proud of what he Does in the outside and the inside too.
