Chris Christie (new Jersey Gov.) gave his second inaugural address. Towards the end of the speech he talked about creating an opportunity. He listed a set of goals. Among them one was to reform the Sate’s drug policy. He said, “We will end the failed war on drugs that believes that incarceration is the cure of every ill caused by drug abuse.”
He also stated he wants to make drug treatment available to as many no violent offenders as possible.

I think its good that states are finally starting to reform their drug laws. All the drug laws are very draconian and haven’t been changed for a very long time.
