Hiroshima & Nagasaki

WWI was the second biggest war in the world that started 1939 and ended in 1945. Right at the end on August 6th, 1945 the United States dropped the first atomic bomb, by orders from president Truman, in Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion cause the death of 80,000 people immediately and hundreds thousands later due to the radiation exposure. In fact, 90% of the city was completely destroyed; yet Japan never gave up. Three days later on August 9th, 1945 the second atomic bomb was dropped in the Japanese city of Nagasaki, which killed 40,000 people immediatley. Due to all the damages and deaths the two bombs caused, the Japanese Emporer Hirohito announced Japan’s surrender in WWII on August 15th. The bomb was nicknamed “The most cruel bomb” due to the harsh harm both “the little boy” and “the fat man” (the nicknames of both bombs) caused. Moreover, both cities had no life, the bombs had cause a chaos. Therefore, after Japan surrendered, the United States helped as much as possible to rebuild and help the countries economy, also we helped them to get all the medical aid needed. Eventually, after years, the country did recover but there was still some people who suffered due to the radiation; and the bomb was never used again due to the harm it caused.

In my opinion, and I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one who thinks that what this bomb caused is against humanity. It killed so many innocent people and the rest kept suffering. It is a very good thing that authorities realized that it was a mistake that shall not be repeated. Especially that with today’s technology, it is not as hard to develop such a thing in almost any country; which means that it would just be a nuclear war back and forth and eventually there would be no life on Earth.
