This is Adolf Hitler. He was Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. While he was in control, he turned the country into a fascist government. He started using propaganda to manipulate and intimidate the citizens of Germany. Hitler had an army under his wing, known as the Gestapo, or the secret police. Hitler’s Gestapo would arrest and eventually kill anyone looking to oppose him in any way.
[Hitler and the Holocaust by Nenitab]
When Hitler was elected, he started what we refer to as the Holocaust. He thought people who were Jewish were less than human. He started taking Jewish people living in Germany and moving them to concentration camps to work or be killed, the most famous of which is Auschwitz. There were more than 20,000 concentration camps within Germany, France, and Poland. Throughout the Holocaust, over 6,000,000 Jewish people died in concentration camps.
