In this article I understand where Janelle is coming from. Thinking about how expensive raising my son is, I can only imagine being a single mother. I am grateful for the help I get.
Mitt Romney told contributors at a private fundraiser in May that women are open to supporting him and that he can “capture women’s votes” — but Janelle Matous won’t be one of them. “It’s not as easy as everyone makes it seem to support yourself in today’s economy, and sometimes you do need help with things,” Matous told The Huffington Post. “It was probably the thing that really pissed me off the most about was this feeling that everything I’m working for, everything that I’m doing is not good enough in some way”, she said. “I don’t consider myself a victim. I don’t.”
Mitt Romney says: “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him(Obama), who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.”

Romney sounded ridiculous. He is degrading those below him. Making it seem as though people with low-income are not human. The reason he wasnt elected president is because his message to everyone was that those with high income would benefit from him being president. He divided us into different categories by the amount of income. Instead of uniting the US like a president should have Romney sent the wrong message. A wise quote “If you’re ever looking down on somebody, make sure its only to help them up.”
I have a nine month old son named Divine, he is my world! you will never understand the true meaning of motherhood until you become a mother. I can agree with Janelle completely because children are not cheap they are hard work. I wouldn’t change it for the world. My son is rewarding but he needs care and financial support. I think American leaders would be more effective if they would listen to the hard-working mothers of society.
