Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He is known for founding the Democratic Party and for his support of individual liberty. He was president during (1829–1837)
He was elected by popular votes. You didn’t have to be a property owner to vote, he gained the support of many more poor white voters than rich people. He became a powerful politician because he wasn’t being fair to all the Americans. Andrew Jackson was not being fair to the blacks and the Indians.
What is the Spoils System and how did he use it?
Is a practice of appointing loyal members of the party in power to public offices was first referred to as the spoils system under Andrew Jackson. The spoils system involves political activity by public employees in support of their party and the employees’ removal from office if their party loses the election. A change in party control of government necessarily brings new officials to high positions carrying political responsibility, but the spoils system extends personnel dependent governmental positions.
He vetoed the bank the national bank since he thought it was only for the rich, also it’s funny how his face is on one of the paper money and he thought that money should always be gold and silver.
What is the “trail of tears”? How did this help the poor white men from the South who voted for Jackson?
Andrew forced Cherokee nation to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma during 1838 and 1839. The Cherokee people called this journey the “Trail of Tears,” because of its devastating effects. The migrants faced hunger, disease, and exhaustion on the forced march.

I agree with his views of politics but when he forced the Native Americans to leave on the “Trail of Tears” in my opinion, that wasn’t fair to them. A lot of them died and suffered on their journeys.
