Nadia Murads is a Yazidi Christian girl from Iraq. On August, 3, 2014, a group of barbarians known as ISIS invaded Iraq and took over her village. They captured her with the entire village. They killed her mother and six brothers, and they took her as a slave with thousands of other Yazidi women and girls. She was tortured, raped many times, sold as a gift to ISIS soldiers. She was able to escape from those terrorist after so many tries.
Today she is traveling the world to spread the word and seek peace. She is delivering the message of thousands of other Yazidi girls who were unable to speak. She has visited so many countries in the world: such as United States, Egypt, France, Britain, Greece, Germany and other countries. Also, She saw many important leaders and Presidents of the world. She met with U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi .
Nadia Murads is asking the world to stand together against those terrorist groups. She is also asking the world to help rescuing thousands of Yazidi women, girls and children that are still in the captivity of ISIS.
She has been nominated to receive a Noble Peace Prize as of right now because she represents a light of Peace in the world.
Do American people know about Nadia Murad? Do they know what happened to her and her entire community? Are American people going to help with this situation?
Her story reminds me Fredrick Douglass in history which is about 192 years ago. I can’t believe that it exists today. She is brave girl, and she is seeking help from different countries.
There’s a lot of people that have a voice that cant speak because they don’t know what to do or are going through these things. Even Syria is going through some harm with their land, but voices are not being heard. How many times have we talked about world peace but still countries are getting bombed and women are getting tortured. It’s time to make a change, people shouldn’t live scared or afraid of anything but should be at a peace and happiness state of mind.
People are more interested in bad stories than knowing about the brave hero’s. This girl is the most strong and smart women that I ever heard in my life. She lost her family and get a lot of problems by this monsters. But she was lucky to escape from them. It is hard to be this strong enough and try to save the world for a women who have been raped and sold as slave. However, she have a marvel heart to make her voice heard to the world. Everyone should do something, we have to listen her and do what we have to do to safe this woman’s. A lot of family have been killed for their religion by ISIS. The world should work together and do something.
