On Wednesday, December 2, some students in Mountain View School had another video conference with Plymstock High School in England. Last time I wasn’t able to come, but this time I was present. Although, I think there are some things that could’ve been done to make the conference better like giving more time to speak and bringing more student comments to the table, overall , I think the conference went great.

Students were able to share their own experiences and opinions on difficult subjects in the world of current events. What I mostly liked about the conference was that both classes were listening and respected everyone’s opinion. There was one student from Mountain View who disagreed with a student’s opinion from Plymstock, but the direct discussion was still very respectful. My favorite topic of the conversation was about the recent terrorism in France where many people died. It was a very interesting topic because we; the students from Mountain View were able to ask how it felt for the Plymstock, England  students being in a country so close to France.  We share serious concerns about the dangerous terrorist group, ISIS but we disagree on how we can best act as citizens and as governments to find peace from this violence.
