With the rise of coronavirus, many sports were put on hold, or have had some sort of regulation making it not the way it used to be. Based on this, former Lakers superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar believes players should either be vaccinated, or kicked off the squad. In his eyes, he believes that players are not fully grasping how serious this situation is for staff, fans, and players alike. The NBA hasn’t put out a vaccine mandate for players, however non-vaccinated players must go through regular testing during travel, practice, and game days.

“A vaccine mandate for NBA players would need an agreement with the Players Association. The NBA has made these proposals but the players’ union has rejected any vaccination requirement.”  -NBA spokesman Mike Bass
