The Underground Railroad was neither underground nor a railroad. It got its name because its activities had to be carried out in secret.  The network of routes extended through 14 Northern states and “the promised land” of Canada. This route helped so many slave to escaped from slavery. There was a famouse woman who helped many slave to escaped and her name was Harriet Tubman. for more information click the lilk below. some fact that I interiting are :

1) Between 1810 and 1850 at less 100,000 run away

3) Some people helped just simplely given Money to dess up to look better.

If I were in life at the time I think I would help slave to escaped from slevery. because slave had a rash life, and they need help to find a better life. In my own experience as an imigrant I been help to come to the United State from El salvador. In my country I did not have a safety future. Those why I thing is important to help other if we can.
