Michael Moore tweeted a comment about the movie American Snipers, and what he tweeted made a bunch of people pissed off. His Tweet said ” My uncle [was] killed by sniper in WWII. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot you in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders are worse.”. Then Kid Rock responded to him , saying “Fuck you Michael Moore, you’re a piece of shit and your uncle would be ashamed of you.”
Michael Moore has a right for freedom of speech. As a citizen of United States, you have that right. He can say what he wants because he has rights, But when you make a comment your going to have people agree with you or not. The comment he made about the movie was all about politics and between the movie, basically used an excuse, and not worrying about the subject, what the movie trying to tell you. So a lot of people had negative thoughts about him.
Talking about the movie because of politic, seriously this movie meant to be historical not political. It was filmed about Chris Kyle, He was an American image to everyone, he showed anything is possible, if you work hard for it, you will reach your goals. He worked his butt off to be a Seal, and became the most lethal sniper in the U.S. That’s called dedication. For his bravery and military skills, he was awarded some of the highest medals in the US military multiple times including the Bronze and Silver Star. Snipers are not cowards first of all and they don’t just shoot people in the back of people head.
A U.S. Sniper’s job is to look over the soldiers to make sure they have a safe path way while they are clearing out houses. If there were no snipers today to stop danger to the soldiers on the ground then there would be more injuries and death. Sniper can stop a terrorist before they hurt their own men. Sniper can find terrorist if there hiding from the soldier to do a surprise attack or ambush on the U.S. Solider and catch terrorist sniper before someone gets killed, so snipers are not cowards, they are here for a good reason.

It seems that Michael Moore already has strongly negative ideas associated with snipers in general, due to the loss of his family member. Situations like these are the reason I do not appreciate social networking; One man stated his unpopular opinion, and now everyone knows, and is mad about it. I don’t agree with his opinion, but I also disagree with way this is being blown out of proportion and how our society idolizes people. When one of these “more important” people states their opinion it makes the news, but there are also billions of “less important” people out there with their own opinions that no one ever gets to hear. My point is that this kind of stuff shouldn’t even be on the news. Michael Moore’s opinion is no more important than your neighbors or the garbage man’s.
