What Is Happening In the United States? A Place of Dreams and a Place of Violence.
November 27, 2017
Last month terrorism hit again in New York City barely two blocks from “ground 0” of 9/11/01. This time the attack took the form of a one man outrage leaving at least eight people dead and twelve injured. The author of the massacre was identified as Sayfullo Saipov of 29 years old who worked as an Uber driver and planned this attack based on online terror propaganda found on his computer.
He drove a vehicle which he had rented in Home Depot in New Jersey. On his way he collided with a school bus. Saipov had two guns in his hand, but one of this guns was a paint gun. My questions is why did he have a paint gun? This shows that terror goes beyond the type of weapon but maybe he wanted the gun to bring fear to his victims.
Unfortunately, a group of friends from Argentina who were visiting New York lost their lives in this massacre. They were on their bicycles when the massacre happened. These victims were identified as Hernan Diego Mendoza, Diego Enrique Angelini, Alejandro Damian Pagnucco, Ariel Erlij and Hernan Ferruchi.
I can not imagine the anguish that those people lived when they saw the truck coming their way. It is sorrowful to know that these things happen in any country but especially one of freedom and democracy such as the United States.
On November 5th another massacre happened in Texas at a small country church leaving 26 people dead, among them were children. The author of the massacre was identified as Devin Kelley; he was a member of the air force, but in 2012 he was expelled . How it is possible that the person who was once our hero has taken so many lives?
My question is why when the Caucasian commit a massacre , the FBI say that the author had mental problems. They do not as easily say this when the attacker is from another country or not white.
I have described United States as the country where anybody’d dreams can come true, but it is sadly also the country that takes innocent lives. How many massacres would have to happen for the government to make a law which prohibits the use of guns?
Estas son las víctimas de la masacre de Texas

I don’t understand and will never understand how people can be so heartless to commit any crime that involves you taking someone else’s life away. I feel like its scary and terrifying how much the percentage has gone of people getting killed and people committing crimes.

I agreed with the last paragraph of yours because I don’t understand why some get away with these terrible crimes and others who do it get really rough.

I agree with your last paragraph on why when a white person that kills hundreds or more people the government covers it up and comes out with like the person wasn’t stable the person has mental issues, its like saying white people are always right. And I completely disagree with that they should be treated like the rest of everyone.
