Today, March 8th is international Women’s day.  Time and time again in our history and progress to a more perfect union we have seen how  women have led the way.

The voice of the woman has long been influential in American politics.

 

March 7th 1965 is known as “Bloody Sunday”.  The march from Selma to Montgomery for voting rights was a force of progress led by Amelia Boynton Robinson.

 

 

The former First Lady Michelle Obama represents the hope for a more balanced global society on International Womens’s day 2020

 

Dr. Jill Biden is the current first lady of the United States and she is determined to recognize women who lead with courage.

 

 

Today first lady Dr. Jill Biden is speaking at the White House with Secretary of state Anthony Blinken.  Together they are honoring 11 women from around the world for their leadership and influence.
