Do you have the skills necessary to obtain and hold a job?  The New Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth list are needs identified by Virginia Employers for successfully holding a job.  High school is the environment to develop these skills, along with a part-time job.  Do you have a positive work ethic?  Do you demonstrate honesty & reliability?   Do you dress appropriately as well as use language and manners suitable for the work place?  Do you use effective time management and organization?

If your answers are NO! to these questions, then use this list to help prepare yourself for the world of work.  It is also important to take work related courses to help further prepare you for employment.
